The Erickson Center for the Arts offers a variety of art classes and workshops year round for all ages and experience levels.
U.P. Acrylic Pour Class with Linda Paine
Thursday, March 12th

Upper Level of the ECA Building
All supplies included, feel free to bring your own beverages.
Learn the beautiful art of the acrylic pour process with Linda in this all time favorite class. Choose a 19 or 30 inch wooden Upper Peninsula cutout. Students also have the choice to finish their piece with varnish, or leave their cutout with Linda to allow her to apply resin.
***PLEASE NOTE!***
ALL POURS WITH VARNISH APPLIED WILL NEED TO DRY OVER NIGHT, AND CAN BE PICKED UP FRIDAY, MARCH 13TH.

Spring Flowerpot Wood Burning Class with Taylor Cervantes

April showers bring May flowers! Join us for a special wood burning class where we'll create flowerpot decorations. In this class, you'll learn how to use the wood burning tool, how to transfer a design with transfer paper, and how to utilize wood glue and sandpaper for your projects. This class will also feature fun extras, like paint and gem stickers. $45 All supplies included. Kids under 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Adult Art Appreciation Workshop with Linda Paine
July 13-17
9:00 AM-1:00 PM Daily
This workshop offers students of all experience levels a chance to experiment with many different mediums in fun and exciting ways. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to foster the artist in you with Linda!
Sign up for all five classes, or for one or more individual classes. $175/ person for all 5 days or $50/ person for 1 day. Supplies Included.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga Class with Instructor Sara Wheeler of The Guiding Light Yoga & Wellness

Vinyasa Flow style yoga class offers a harmonious fusion of movement and breath, providing a balanced sequence of poses designed to enhance flexibility, strength, and mindfulness.
This class is focused on using your powerful breath to guide you through flowing postures, holding balance and lengthening/strengthening poses, and allows participants space and time to increase awareness and focus inward on the body while increasing flexibility and strength; promoting a full mind and body connection.
All levels welcome,modifications and variations will be offered to suit individual needs.
Hello, my name is Sarah Wheeler.
I first fell in love with yoga as a kid, practicing Rodney Yee’s VHS tapes with my mom. As a certified and registered Occupational Therapist since 2017. I currently work in multiple schools in the area with students and school staff. I have taught a variety of adult and kids movement classes in our community and schools. I recently completed my 200hr teacher training with Aligned Yoga Method in SSM, Ontario. I am a strong believer and witness of the power of breath, mindfulness, meditation, and positive thinking in order to achieve physical and life goals! My mission is to provide a brave space for you to play with your breath, movements, and energy and experience the relaxing, ease and comforting feeling of being home in yourself.

Evening Yoga Classes

In response to a number of requests for an evening yoga class, Sarah Wheeler of Guiding Light Yoga will be offering three classes beginning at 6 PM March 11th, 18th and 25th in the Upper Level of the ECA building. $15 drop in each class.
