Join first- time author Rikki Jo Neyer as she shares deeply meaningful highlights from her debut book, “Do You Believe in Miracles Our Journey Out of Darkness and Into the Light”, a triumphant memoir that will resonate with every caregiver and family who has or is struggling to find medical answers for a loved one.
For nearly a decade, Rikki served as the primary advocate and caregiver for her mother following a traumatic head injury, fighting through a medical system that kept looking away while someone she loved disappeared inside an illness no one could name. She is a painter, a singer, a woman of deep faith, and someone who has learned that beauty and suffering are not opposites. They are companions. “Do You Believe in Miracles” is her first book. She wrote it because she refused to let her mother’s story end without meaning. She wants every caregiver, every suffering person, every family fighting to be heard to know that answers exist and that God still shows up. She is living proof.
Rikki Jo Neyer is a first-time author, artist, and officiant who grew up in the city of Chicago and now lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with her husband, where they spend their winters on snowshoes and their lives as close to the land as they can get. She is the founder of Happy Beginnings, where she sings as brides walk down the aisle and then marries the couple herself. She has spent her life showing up for people in their most sacred moments and the hardest ones too.
