Stas Venglevski and the Houston Accordion Orchestra Recording Project Concert

The seventeen-member orchestra will travel to Curtis from across the United States and Japan. Stas Venglevski, bayanist, composer, conductor and teacher has toured extensively as a soloist worldwide and resides in Wisconsin. The seventeen-member orchestra includes 9 adult musicians and 8 student musicians. The student musicians consist of both adults and youth ages 14 -29 years old.

This weeklong project will include morning and afternoon orchestra rehearsals, evening jam sessions and a public concert by the Houston Accordion Orchestra with Stas Venglevski at The Pine Performance Center. Our local schools and the public are invited to the rehearsals followed with a question-and-answer discussion. Students and the public are invited to participate with the orchestra in all evening jam sessions. Everyone is invited to the public concert where Stas with the orchestra will perform fifteen of their original compositions. All of these programs are open to the public at no cost.
